About the author
Lu Evans is a Brazilian-American writer, playwright, anthologist, editor, and translator. She graduated as a Journalist from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (Brazil) and is currently studying Anthropology at Central New Mexico C. College. She coordinates the Fantastic Literature by Woman project.
She began her artistic career as a ballerina. In her late teens, she migrated to the theater, working as an actress, producer, choreographer, and director. At that time, she started writing plays. Some of her plays have been staged in Brazil.
She participates in anthologies published by several publishers, magazines, and websites. She edited 24 collections between 2019 and 2022, reuniting writers from The United States, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Poland, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Nepal. She is now editing a sci-fi anthology with authors from Brazil, France, Switzerland, and Portugal. She has also written forewords for several books.
Evans published 15 books as an independent author. All her books are in Portuguese, and some are also in Spanish and English.
